The Women's Study Unit (WSU) at our institution serves as a catalyst for empowering female students to realize their full potential and assert their rights as active agents of social change in nation-building. WSU provides unique opportunities and exemplary guidance to encourage girls to challenge and address prevailing inequalities in both immediate society and the broader world. The unit embraces an inclusive approach, recognizing that the marginalization and silencing of women's voices contribute to societal ills. Therefore, WSU focuses on raising awareness about women's rights and privileges under the law, advocating against gender-specific violence such as domestic abuse. Through collaborations with clubs like NSS and ED Club, WSU equips girls with media literacy, job training, and employability skills. The unit actively promotes gender equality, fosters harmonious campus relations, and empowers girls to make informed decisions in their personal and professional lives, nurturing responsible and resilient individuals. WSU's initiatives include enlightening talks by dignitaries, unconventional events like food fests to challenge gender stereotypes, and various competitions and cultural programs aimed at boosting self-esteem and breaking societal barriers. Annually, International Women's Day is celebrated with diverse programs and guest speakers to further inspire and empower the female student community.
