Psychology

Department Profile

Psychology is a minor department offering Minor Courses, Multi-Disciplinary Courses (MDC), Value Addiction Courses (VAC) and Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC). These courses are open to all degree students and aim to enhance happiness, relationships, life skills, and overall well-being. Additionally, students gain insight into adolescent development and mental health issues among young people.

The Department of Psychology offering a bridge course in psychology for first-year students can be really beneficial in helping them transition smoothly into the subject and understand its fundamentals before diving into more advanced coursework.

Additionally, providing a certificate course in peer counseling is an excellent way to equip students with practical skills that they can use to support their peers. Peer counseling can be incredibly valuable in creating a supportive environment within the student community and helping individuals deal with various challenges they may face during their academic journey.
