The Entrepreneurship Development Club (ED Club) of the college has been visualised and initiated to showcase the creativity and talented skills of the student community in the campus. In our institution,the Entrepreneurship Development Club has been officially registered in the year 2018, undertheGovernment of Kerala’s Department of Industries and Commerce, with the Registration number: EDC/TVM/46/18. The Entrepreneurship Development Club open up a new world of opportunity to the creative students with special artistic talents.Our main motive is to nurture and develop entrepreneurial skills of the students to make them successful business entrepreneurs.A suitable work space for the activities wasthe number one aspiration for the club and it became a reality through the effortof a group of artistically talented ED Club members.A room was allotted by the college and was beautifully modified with student creativity and has been utilised as the workshop for the club ever since.The Entrepreneurship Development Club was officially launched on 2nd November 2017, when it was officially inaugurated by our honourable principal in charge, Mr. A. H Badrudheen.
The Programme had started off withthe active participation of 63 member-enthusiasts from the college who registered themselves with the ED Club. The leading panel of the club consists ofstudents who plan and organise various activities and events regularly. All the significant training programmes conducted for the ED Club members have been supported and funded by the DIC (from 2017 to 2019). It also facilitated a field trip for around 50 students with full expense (Food & Conveyance) to visit the successful and model industrial park venture under the Government of Kerala, (The KINFRA Apparel Park), Trivandrum. In the absence of fund for conducting ED Club activities, the Parent Teacher Association of the college (PTA) gave monetary assistance as a show of support to the ED club ‘s mission of making students self-sufficient.
An exhibition was conducted by ED Club Members under the leadership of Ms. Nazrin, of hand-crafted products in the capital city, Trivandrum in Apri,l2019. Ms. Nazrinand a group of students put up a stall of curious arte facts for exhibition cum sale in the Trade Fair organized at the prestigious venue, Sri. Mulam Club. The institution had provided financial assistance to procure a space for the pavilion in the posh downtown venue, in a show of support. It was a grand success and gained raving reviews from the visitors and in the city edition of popular Newspapers. Exhibition cum sale were organised many times in the college to showcase the creative products handcrafted by ED Club members.
Till date, a total of 18 active members of ED Club have represented the college in various State Level Industrial Exhibitions and Conclaves, and have exhibited and sold the handmade artistic products in those pavilions consecutively from 2021 onwards. They have also presented their innovative ideas in the Hackathon Contests, there.

· Mehandi Unit (MehfilMehandhi Hub): “Art in hand” of this unit functions on Fridays which helps students who are skilled in Mahanadi designing to earn.
· Recycling Unit: “Creation from the useless” the new products are being recycled into existence. It is one of our most eco-friendly units.
· Flower Making: creating long-lasting&beautifully hand-crafted curios is the highlight of the unit. Varieties of ideas are born from the unit.
· Ornaments Making: The beauty of the jewel is being valued here. The unit’s outputs are being put on sale in outside fancy shops.
· Candle Making: Our member gives light in the darkness. Coloured candles are the most demanding products of this club.
· Embroidery and Stitching Unit: Needle and thread combination with creative. It works more for the club’s activity.
· Agarbathi Making: It is one of the activities held in our club. The aroma agarbathis spreads peace in its surroundings.
· Pot Painting and Fabric Painting: More than any other form of art work, the pot painting and fabric painting has earned special attention to us.
· Soap Making: Soap making is an important part of our club. It spreads the creativity among students. It’s the fusion of both colour and smell is what makes it a product worth its demand.
· Greeting card making: we make a variety of greeting cards which are being sold when it makes its mark.
· Notepad Making: We also make notepads, which are being sold.
· Participated in Entrepreneurship Conclaves - State level ED Club Exhibition
· Conducts Industrial Visits etc.,
Large number of new entrepreneurs haveemerged from ED Club members after gaining training and experience here and with theadditional support from otherplatforms of our college. Amajority of them ventured into home-based startups, generating a moderate self -income and financially supporting their families. The Women’s Club generously helped the club by providing us with a sewing machine. ED Club unit of Mannaniya College,thus hadhelpedmany students to become financially self-sufficient, andto earn a source of income for their needy families.
