Tourism club

  Tourism Club Kerala, a new initiative formed under the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, creates an excellent platform for passionate youth to gain exposure and knowledge in the Tourism industry. Their potential is desperately needed in the development of the tourism industry. The club aims to create awareness among the students about the various opportunities in the tourism sector, including new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Initial steps have been completed to start Tourism clubs in all colleges across the state.

Mission

• Encourage students to discover new places, cultures, and experiences through organized trips, travel challenges, and cultural exchange programs.

• Provide opportunities for members to learn about and appreciate different cultures, traditions, and lifestyles through events, workshops, and collaborations with cultural organizations.

• Offer educational resources, seminars, and workshops on travel, tourism management, hospitality, and related fields to equip members with knowledge and skills relevant to the tourism industry.

• Create a supportive and inclusive community where members can share their travel experiences, learn from each other, and develop meaningful friendships.

• Provide opportunities for members to take on leadership roles within the club, organizing and managing events, projects, and trips, thereby enhancing their organizational and leadership abilities.

Activities

• Cultural Events: Host events celebrating various cultures, including food festivals, dance performances, and art exhibitions.
• Workshops and Seminars: Conduct workshops on travel planning, budget travel, travel photography, and seminars on tourism trends and career opportunities.
• Community Service: Engage in community service projects that support local tourism and environmental sustainability.
