The Islamic History Association was established in the year 2000 with the aim of nurturing socially responsible and intellectually driven citizens among students of the department through various activities. Each academic year, the association organizes a diverse range of programs. These include commemorating significant historical days with special classes to impart their importance to students.
Key programs hosted by the Islamic History Association include celebrations such as Quit India Day (August 9), Independence Day invited talks (August 14), Gandhi Jayanti (October 3), Keralappiravi Varaghosham (November 1-7), Indian Constitution Day (November 26), Human Rights Day (December 10), International Arabic Day (December 18), International Minorities Rights Day (December 18), and International Day to Combat Islamophobia (March 15). Additionally, the department conducts a monthly lecture series under the association's banner, promoting interdisciplinary learning among students. This initiative reflects inputs gathered from various department-level monitoring committee meetings. Furthermore, the department publishes a magazine through the association to showcase student talents.
