About the Institution

Mannaniya College of Arts & Science is an outstanding educational institution affiliated to the University of Kerala. Started in 1995 in a remote and under developed village 50 kms east of Thiruvananthapuram named Pangode, its owes existence to the far sighted vision of Jamiya Mannaniya Islamiya Charitable Society, a body of Muslim religious scholars. The campus is spread on 16 acres of greenery and scenery, providing a serene and tranquil atmosphere for teaching and learning.

The college started functioning from 3/7/1995 and classes for 1st batch of students commenced on 11/08/1995. In the beginning, there were only three courses viz., B.A Islamic History, B.Sc Chemistry, B.Com Co-operation, B.Com Tourism & Travel Management was added in 1998. The first batch of graduates came out in 1998 and since then hundred of graduates have been coming out of our portals.

The college enjoys 2F and 12B status of the U.G.C provides higher education to about 500 students in four UG courses. The college has also been granted minority status by National Minority Commission.
